On letshearit.io, we believe in radical expression, ruthless honesty, and a little chaos. But with that power comes a community-powered system for tagging takes — and the users behind them.
🧪 How It Works
Every time you post a comment or vote, others in the community can react. These reactions aren't just for vibes — they fuel your reputation on the site. Based on how people respond to your takes, you earn badges (or warnings) that others can see on your profile.
🏷️ The Labels
🧠 “Smart” – You dropped knowledge. You made someone think. You might actually be dangerous.
😂 “Entertaining” – You're here for a good time, not a long time. A+ meme energy.
❤️ “Loving” – Shockingly kind? Emotionally mature? Who let you in here?
🙃 “Stupid” – Did you read what you wrote? It was... something.
☣️ “Hateful” – You might need a walk and a glass of water.
📣 “Loud but Right” – Aggressive, intense, but damn it — you're not wrong.
🧨 “Hot Take Machine” – You post too much. And it's always spicy.
📊 How Votes Become Labels
Reactions are tallied across your takes. Once a reaction type crosses a threshold, the label appears on your profile.
Smart: 10+ “smart” reactions across all posts
Stupid: 10+ “stupid” reactions, and over 40% of total reactions are “stupid”
Hateful: 5+ “hateful” reactions, and over 25% of reactions are “hateful”
Entertaining/Loving: 15+ total reactions of that type
Labels can appear, fade, or update as your reputation evolves.
🤔 Wait… Can I Dispute My Label?
Nope. This is democracy. And chaos. If you don't like your label, post better.
